CLUBS
There are no more after school clubs this term.
There has been a lot of children this year who have decided to stop clubs mid term or swap for a different club this has made monitoring the clubs and their attendance very difficult as
often the school is not even told. Clubs cost the school money to run which we do not pass on to you. Therefore next year the clubs will be run in termly blocks of approximately 12 weeks. Each term when a child subscribes to a club they will be expected to participate in that club for the whole of the term. If they do drop out of a club they will not be allowed to join further clubs.

HEAD LICE
We have been informed of another case of head lice in school. Could you please check your
family’s hair tonight and treat if you find any before returning to school. All children should now have their own nit comb and be aware of what head lice look like and how to get rid of them.

ACCESS TO LEARNING AT HOME
To help your child bring their learning home we already they already have access to Maths Whizz at whizz.com (your child should have a login) . They now have access to espresso home you need to go to www.espresso.co.uk, click on the home access star on the left hand side, then on the drop down menu ‘home access using’ click on Espresso Home Access System this will take you to the login page. The username is ‘student 20055 ‘and the password is ‘123456’. Log on with your child and have a look at the great games to support your child’s learning.

SUMMER FAYRE
A very big thank you to the parents, staff and community members who helped organise, set up and run our Summer Fayre. We raised £590.62 which will go into school fund and hopefully pay for new playground markings. These will be chosen by next year’s school council with input from all children.

SCHOOL PICNIC
The whole school will be having a picnic on Tuesday 20th July. The picnic will start at 2.00pm so your child will have their normal lunch on that day. The Robins Class need to bring a cuddly toy with them to the picnic, otherwise nothing else is needed. Please make sure your child is prepared for the weather whatever it may be!

TRIP TO YORK
Next year we will be starting our topics with a trip to York. Years 3,4,5 and 6 will be visiting the Jorvik Centre and Reception, Years 1 and 2 will be visiting York Castle Museum. The cost of this trip will be £15 per child. We will send out letters at the start of the new term.

DOGS AND PUPPIES
Although it is wonderful to have a new pet due to health and safety reasons we do not allow animals onto school grounds. Many children have very serious allergies. When we do organise events with animals we do have to have a lot of risk assessments in place!

Thank you for your support,
