About Us

Hogsthorpe Community Primary School was built in 1857 to serve the local community of Hogsthorpe. Our school is set on the edge of the village and adjoins the village playing field and Village Hall. We cater for children from the ages of 4 to 11 and, at present, have 69 children on roll.

The Playground

We have three classrooms with separate cloakroom and toilet facilities in each of the buildings. A fourth room has been furbished as a networked computer suite and each classroom has its own computer work station as well as access to numerous laptops. A new teaching area opened in May 2004 and is used to develop research skills and for small group work. These facilities within the school allow for flexibility in teaching methods and approaches as appropriate to the needs of individuals, small groups or whole classes.
